The Optimist Club of Oakville
The Optimist Club of Oakville is a community service organization dedicated to "Bringing out the best in youth, in our communities and in ourselves". We have been supporting youth in Oakville since 1948. Optimist clubs are members of the worldwide Optimist International service organization dedicated to serving the youth of their communities.
Our Impact: We are a group of people who care about youth. It is conservatively estimated that each Optimist member positively impacts 35 children and youth annually. Our 50 members translates into a minimum positive impact for 1750 children and youth annually in Oakville. Check out the list of organizations we support.
The purpose of the Optimist Club of Oakville is to develop “Optimism” as a philosophy of life and to aid and encourage the youth of our community.
Are you in good standing in the community, have integrity and a heart for serving youth? Our members include people from every aspect of our community: business, civil service, social, educational, cultural, retirees and even young people. Come join us! We’d love to meet you as our guest at one of our Dinner Meetings, held monthly (except July and August).
