Our next Youth Appreciation recipient is Robert, a grade 12 student from King’s Christian Collegiate who is an instrumental student volunteer at King’s. Robert has volunteered at every school graduation, participated in every gala and works tremendously hard to make open houses a success each year by providing tours to potential students. He is also an invaluable resource for the Drama club as the sound tech for all of their productions and leads the tech crew with all of their sound and lighting needs. If you enjoy public speaking and are interested in winning scholarships for post secondary education, then the Oratorical Contest is for you. The ultimate international winner will accumulate $22,500 in scholarships. Cash prizes are awarded at the first level of competition at the Optimist Club of Oakville. The topic this year is: "Where are my Roots of Optimism?" The winner will then move on to the next level of competition.
