Our next Youth Appreciation recipient is Nayana, a grade 12 student from Abbey Park High School who spends a lot of time volunteering for a variety of causes locally and around the globe. Nayana was a summer camp coordinator working with children with Autism creating activities, facilitating interactions, creating daily schedules and routines and communicating with the children on all different levels of the spectrum. If you enjoy public speaking and are interested in winning scholarships for post secondary education, then the Oratorical Contest is for you. The ultimate international winner will accumulate $22,500 in scholarships. Cash prizes are awarded at the first level of competition at the Optimist Club of Oakville.
