Lauren is a grade 12 student from St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School who has participated in various activities while being a strong academic student. She is the president of the Social Justice Council and helps to host and organize all of the fundraising events and charity activities within the school. She is also a peace and justice club member for the past few years hosting such events as coffee houses raising funds for local charities namely the Lighthouse Program, Halton’s Women Shelter and Danielle’s place to name a few. If you enjoy public speaking and are interested in winning scholarships for post secondary education, then the Oratorical Contest is for you. The ultimate international winner will accumulate $22,500 in scholarships. Cash prizes are awarded at the first level of competition at the Optimist Club of Oakville.
